Rotoworld.com:
J.R. Smith exploded for 26 points on 9-of-14 shooting on Tuesday night.
He got hot and knocked down eight 3-pointers on the night, but had zero assists, steals and blocks to go with his one rebound and one turnover. He's already seriously flirting with George Karl's doghouse, but this game may have pulled him out of his funk. We have cooled on him recently, but it's possible he gets it turned around and starts the season as Denver's shooting guard.

fantasysports.aol.com:
Shooting guard J.R. Smith scored 26 points on Tuesday and hit eight of 13 three-pointers in the Nuggets' preseason loss to the Jazz.
The eight threes were certainly impressive, but the fact that Smith's stat-line was all zeros outside the points category (except for one rebound) shows his fantasy value is limited to scoring only. He will still need to improve his defense in order to get more than 20-25 minutes per game.
